Two new stops as the tram reaches Luxembourg Airport

On 27 February 2025

Luxembourg’s public transport network is taking a significant leap forward with the completion of the first tram line and its extension to Luxembourg Airport from 2 March 2025.

To support this development, two new stops, ‘Findel – Luxembourg Airport’ and ‘Senningerberg, Héienhaff’, will offer passengers improved connections between trams, buses, and cars, making daily travel more convenient.

‘Findel – Luxembourg Airport’ Stop

From 2 March 2025, the new tram stop ‘Findel – Luxembourg Airport’ will provide passengers with a direct connection to the airport. It will ensure seamless integration with multiple AVL bus lines (6, 16, and 29) and RGTR lines (223, 302, 361, and 850).

To ensure efficient access to the airport, the bus stops ‘Aéroport Luxembourg/Findel Quai 5’ and ‘Aéroport Luxembourg/Findel Quai 6’ will be established along Route de Trèves (N1), near the exit of Airport Parking A.

‘Senningerberg, Héienhaff’ Stop

With the arrival of the tram at ‘Héienhaff P+R’, the new ‘Senningerberg, Héienhaff’ bus stop on Route de Trèves (N1) will be operational. Served by AVL bus lines (6, 16, and 29) and RGTR lines (223, 361, and 850), it will provide a smooth interchange with the tram.

In the future, a new bus station will further enhance this infrastructure, accommodating additional RGTR lines from the east of the country and Germany, thus improving regional connectivity.

Additionally, the current stop ‘Senningerberg, Autobunn’ on the N1 will be replaced by the new ‘Senningerberg, Parishaff’ stop on Boulevard Hoehenhof.

With these new stops, we are enhancing public transport services and reinforcing the Grand Duchy’s commitment to efficient and environmentally friendly mobility.
