Digitalisation of passenger information: Launch of a pilot project in Nordstad

On 04 July 2024

From 7 July 2024, a pilot project in the Nordstad municipalities (Bettendorf, Diekirch, Erpeldange-sur-Sûre, Ettelbruck and Schieren) will be launched to improve real-time information at 150 bus stops.

By scanning the QR code with a smartphone, users will be taken to a web page where they can view the following information:

  • Departures in real time,
  • timetables for lines serving the stop,
  • the journey planner,
  • disruptions and
  • a contact & feedback page.

The aim of this pilot project is to provide users with the same quality of information, regardless of where they are departing from in Luxembourg. The lessons learned from the pilot project will be evaluated in September 2024, with a view to implementing the QR-Code at all 3,700 stops on the RGTR network in 2025.
