Schedule Changes on Certain RGTR and AVL Bus Lines from 7 July 2024

On 03 July 2024

As part of the ongoing optimisation of the RGTR bus network, modifications to the schedules and routes of about a hundred lines will take effect on 7 July 2024.

This schedule change coincides with the extension of the tramway to the Howald and Cloche d’Or interchange hubs, offering new bus-tram connections.

Here is an overview of the main changes:

  • Improvements in Nordstad and Colmar-Berg: After consultation with the municipalities, the bus network has been improved in these regions.
  • Additional connections with the CFL Northern Line: The schedules of 12 RGTR lines will be adjusted to improve bus-train connections.
  • Increased capacity on certain lines: Some heavily used lines will have increased capacity (use of bigger busses or an increased time schedule).
  • Integration of so-called “lignes usines”: The integration of about ten of these lines into the RGTR network now makes them accessible to the public, thus improving the transport offer in rural areas along the concerned routes.
  • Adjustment of bus schedules on the A3: The schedules of these buses are adjusted to account for current travel times due to ongoing construction until 2030.
  • Occasional adjustments on other lines: Other lines across the network will undergo occasional adjustments, such as serving additional stops.

Creation of the new line 110

Previously, some trips on line 112 went through Steinsel and Gosseldange (left bank of the Alzette) and others through Walferdange and Lorentzweiler (right bank of the Alzette). The situation has been clarified for passengers with the introduction of the new line 110, which now always goes through Walferdange and Lorentzweiler, while line 112 always goes through Steinsel and Gosseldange.
